• Positive: The room was quite surprisingly quiet given the hotel location. Front desk staff friendly and accommodating. I loved the location walking distance to everything.
• Negative: The cleaning service was inconsistent I spent 3 nights and the room was made up differently one day no towels or soap replacement the next the bed spread was not on the bed but in the closet. Not that this is a hotel concern but I had a taxi pick up arranged by the front desk to take me to the airport and I believe he overcharged me when I looked at the meter when we stopped he added an additional 10E is that customary for airport drops? Lastly the restaurant wait staff were not particularly friendly indifferent to aloof was it because I was a single American woman traveling alone? They were consistent in theirs net whether sitting outside or in, I observed much friendlier to Spanish speaking locals, just a comment as I am having other women friends traveling alone staying here this fall through my recommendation.

• Staff: 5 Efficient but not very friendly I observed they treated locals better than non native speakers.

• Room: 7.5 There was a crack in the wall on the French door side, noticeable water pressure inconsistent in the am.
• Value for money: 10 Location and quietness of room was excellent I have stayed at other establishments in Madrid. After walking the Camino de Santiago it provided a great respite and I choose it because it was supportive of peregrinos even if just a marketing PR strategy it worked/appealed to us.
